Music / First LookExclusive: Lover's CaveControversial cult NY photographer Richard Kern directs Is Tropical's newest bangerShareLink copied ✔️July 16, 2013MusicFirst LookTextTrey TaylorFilmRichard KernPhotographyDave Thornley Is Tropical has steadily been building buzz since 2010 when the trio came together for Native To on Kitsuné, their debut record, which riled up crowds all too eager for a sonic-induced reverie. Since, Simon Milner, Gary Barber and Dominic Apa have created a pulsating atmosphere around their music through D&AD-winning music videos, such as the lubed-up, banned-on-YouTube "Dancing Anymore" from I'm Leaving. Their latest, "Lover's Cave", is another left field sexual splendour directed by controversial cult photographer Richard Kern. The track was inspired by a story Is Tropical were told when playing a show on the beach in Anglet, Southern France. The story tells about a lover's cave or Chambre D'Amour, where two young lovers went to for a bit of romance but got swept out to sea when the tide came in. Dazed exclusively premieres the video for "Lover's Cave" on I'm Leaving ahead of Is Tropical's European festival sweep. Escape the algorithm!
