Apparently there’s some ‘dynamic symmetry’ between Harris and Trump’s charts
When Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the US presidential race on Sunday (July 21) and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, many of his fans were in shock. Even Trump seemed to be scrambling. Astrologers, however, were completely unsurprised. They swiftly began posting their receipts for predicting the political event, saying the move was very much aligned with the stars – and it doesn’t end there. Apparently, there are a lot of astrological elements in play during this year’s race, which are (kind of) looking good for Team Brat (aka team Coconut Tree). As one astrologer on X (formally Twitter) put it: “Kamala’s current profections to this year’s solar return look kinda... presidential.” That said, others have raised concerns about Trump’s “favourable” aspects on the day of the election: “If somehow he loses, there is still some form of flamboyant and even radical, dangerous celebration or denial [on the cards].”
We asked three astrologers who accurately predicted the shift what’s next for the US election (and who’s looking likely to win on November 5).
WHAT HAPPENED ON JULY 21?
Lisa Stardust, an astrologer in New York, predicted that Biden would drop out earlier this year (after accurately calling that he would endorse Harris back in 2020). They say Mars is currently activating Harris’ ascendant through its transit in Gemini now, giving her the energy and power to attain greatness. Meanwhile, on July 21, Stardust says there was a Capricorn full moon (the sign of government, authority, and business) at 29 degrees – indicating an ending. “Both Biden and Harris were both born on a full moon which is why this lunation impacted them so much,” she says.
Those interested in astrology may also remember the great conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn in December 2020. Aliza Kelly, an astrologer in New York, says Biden dropped out during the full moon in Capricorn, which is astrologically “the same spot” as that period in 2020, ushering us back to those central themes. “Great conjunctions are known to shift leadership, transform governments, and upend national infrastructure,” she says. Solar Simone, an astrologer and tarot reader from Texas, says the lead-up to this moment involved four years of “interesting planetary cycles” happening in Harris’ Gemini first house of self, body, and identity. They say this is because Harris is a Gemini rising. “On May 26, Jupiter entered Gemini, crossing over into Kamala Harris’ first house and giving her a boost of luck, attention, and prosperity, leading now to her replacing Biden,” Simone says.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT NEXT?
Both Stardust and Simone agree that September will be an important month for Harris’ campaign. “The most important element is the lunar eclipse on September 17,” says Stardust. “It’s going to hit Harris’s and Trump’s birth chart differently, making adverse aspects to Trump’s chart and fortunate connections to Harris’ chart.” According to Stardust, this eclipse will be “pivotal” for the winner of the election. Unfortunately for Harris, Simone says that starting on September 5, Mars will enter Cancer and will retrograde until 2025. “ This Cancer Mars retrograde will square Kamala's Libra Sun and Aries moon, probably causing difficulties with gathering resources, especially from the younger generations and her supporters,” they say. Then, after the election when Mars enters Leo on December 6, Simone predicts betrayals and “possible electoral drama” during Harris’ Mars return.
As for Kelly, she says she’s “really focused” right now on the fact that Kamala and Trump are both on the same nodal axis (they both have a North Node in Gemini, only a few degrees apart from each other). What’s more, Trump is a Gemini sun. “These two truly cannot be better opponents, and I anticipate these are going to be some of the most riveting debates of all time,” she says. With the world watching – Kelly says they will both be “pulling out all the stops” – she expects November 5 to be an “extremely shocking day” (that doesn’t sound good). “Uranus at 25 degrees Taurus will be exactly conjunct Trump’s Midheaven at 24 degrees Taurus, and exactly conjunct Kamala’s Jupiter at 24 degrees Taurus,” she says. “There is really dynamic symmetry between Kamala and Trump’s chart, and I’m eager to see how that will unfold over the coming weeks and months.”
WHO IS GOING TO WIN THE ELECTION?
Stardust maintains that the lunar eclipse in Pisces on September 17 should give Harris the push she needs to win at the finish line but notes that eclipses are “unpredictable by nature”. Simone agrees that astrology leans towards Harris gaining power at some point but believes it will be “thwarted" in some way. “To me, Jupiter in Gemini signifies her winning the election as the planet of luck and oaths will be transiting her first house of self,” they say. “However, with dominant Saturn in Pisces in Harris’ tenth house of career and reputation squaring Jupiter in Gemini in her first house of self, there’s a decent chance that her Presidency isn’t popular or long-lasting.” According to Simone, this could mean Harris becoming President before the election and then losing to Trump or only serving one term.
Zooming out further from just Harris and Trump, Kelly says we’re still currently experiencing the United States’ Pluto return. “This is a 248-year cycle defined by major political transformations that signal a death and rebirth for the nation,” she says. As it turns out, according to Kelly, Trump was also born on a full moon, so she says we should all “keep a close eye” on those. “Things will continue to happen during these lunations,” she says. (That doesn’t sound ominous and slightly werewolf-related at all.)
