The Canadian musician took to the show during half-time, playing in the break between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs At one point during his performance, he entered into an area with golden, mirrored corridors, where he performed his 2015 single “Can’t Feel My Face”. While singing the song, The Weeknd had his face close up to the camera which, combined with his erratic movements, made it look like he was filming himself. Naturally, memes ensued. “Me, drunk, FaceTiming my best friends,” one Twitter user captioned a clip of the performance. “When the club is like two rooms but ur somehow lost,” said another.
