@madonnaLife & Culture / NewsLife & Culture / NewsMadonna and Diablo Cody are joining forces on a screenplayIs a biopic in the works?ShareLink copied ✔️August 10, 2020August 10, 2020Text Emma Elizabeth Davidson She might be confined to her home after sustaining a bunch of injuries on her Madame X tour earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean Madonna is resting on her laurels. Taking to Instagram this weekend, the iconic musician revealed she’s working on a screenplay with Diablo Cody in a short video clip. Seen sitting together on a plush white sofa, Cody taps away at a laptop as they discuss music and costume options. With Madonna sounding out Tronco Traxx’ (and current TikTok fave) “Walk For Me” for one particular scene, the Oscar-winning director then tries to piece together the elements of her legendary Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra look, as seen as part of her 1990 Blond Ambition tour. Could a Madonna biopic be on the cards? And if so, who tf is going to play her? Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time she’s turned her hand to movies. After starring in films including Desperately Seeking Susan, Evita, and A League of Their Own, in 2011 she wrote and directed W.E., which told the story of King Edward III’s romance with American socialite Wallis Simpson. Cody, meanwhile, is the brains behind Juno and the criminally underrated Jennifer’s Body. Check out the clip below and keep your eyes peeled for further updates. Escape the algorithm!
