How to get Another Man’s Jake Gyllenhaal-fronted issue for free

Guest edited by Jo-Ann Furniss, the Summer/Autumn 2020 issue of Another Man will be available to access digitally – for the first time in the history of the magazine

Today sees Another Man drop the Summer/Autumn 2020 ‘High Art Pop Culture’ with actor and icon Jake Gyllenhaal as its starring cover.

Gyllenhaal is photographed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Ellie Grace Cumming in New York, in February of this year, before the coronavirus pandemic truly took hold.

The issue is the mag’s 30th issue and marks 15 years of print – its decade and a half peppered with culture-shifting moments, with Lana Del Rey, Skepta, and Harry Styles as cover stars. It’s guest-edited by the titan fashion journalist and editor Jo-Ann Furniss, and is devoted to her heroes – in its pages, you’ll find everyone from Miuccia Prada to Don McCullin, Sterling Ruby, Rick Owens, Bryan Ferry, Peter Saville, Paul Morley, Blondey McCoy, Douglas Coupland, Willy Vanderperre, Olivier RizzoMario Sorrenti, Cecil Beaton, Mark Simpson, Matthew Williams of 1017 Alyx 9SM, and more.

On sale internationally from Thursday April 2, the launch of this issue comes at an uncertain and alarming time – nearly a fifth of the world’s population is on lockdown due to the outbreak of coronavirus. As we practice social distancing and isolation, cultural institutions and meeting places for ideas and creativity languish, and the world turns to online spaces for solace, art, and community.

As gesture of solidarity to people across the globe, Another Man is making the issue free of charge to access digitally from Monday April 6, for the first time in the history of the magazine. Simply sign up for a free digital copy on Another Man’s site here.

In a galvanising move, Dazed announced last week that its forthcoming spring/summer issue, starring musician Billie Eilish, would also be available as a free PDF for the first time in the magazine’s history. The World, Interrupted issue, fronted by Eilish and photographed by Harmony Korine, will be made available as a complementary digital edition on April 9, a week before the print magazine hits newsstands on April 16.

Concurrently, Dazed is running #AloneTogether, a URL campaign that involves both our audience and leading names across music, art, fashion, food, design, science, and politics. Workshops, advice, and digital events will roll out across the upcoming weeks of lockdown. Follow along with the #AloneTogether campaign on our site, on Instagram, and on Twitter, and make sure to tag us and #AloneTogether in what you’re up to in self-isolation. This unusual alteration to the way we live life calls for solidarity, togetherness, and communication – with this issue and our offerings online, we try to do just that.

The Summer/Autumn 2020 ‘High Art Pop Culture’ issue of Another Man is on sale internationally from Thursday April 2, 2020. The digital issue is out on Monday, April 6 2020 – sign up here
