Fyre Fest’s human meme is now the face of Evian

Once prepared to suck dick for water, Andy King is now being paid to advertise it

The only good thing to come out of the disastrous Fyre Festival is the revelation that event producer Andy King almost sucked dick to get water shipped to the island, and the litany of memes that followed. Now, the tables have turned as King is actually being paid to advertise water, as the new face of Evian.

The producer announced his new sponsorship deal on Instagram last week (January 18), writing: “Who’s thirsty!? On the one year anniversary of my doc debut, @evianwater is releasing a special bottle with a new slogan… all in honour of my infamous team spirit.”

Evian’s genius new slogan is, “so good you’d do anything for it”, referencing King’s dedication to Fyre. As the story was told in last year’s Netflix documentary: “Billy (McFarland) called and said: ‘Andy, we need you to take one big thing for the team. You’re our wonderful gay leader, and we need you to go down. Will you suck dick to fix this water problem?’”

King continued: “I literally drove home, took a shower, I drank some mouthwash. I got into my car to drive across the island to take one for the team. And I got to (the head of customs’) office, fully prepared to suck his dick.”

After the documentary aired, King found himself hailed a hero, and – OFC – a meme. In a follow-up interview with Netflix, the producer addressed his new ‘human meme’ status. “I’m blown away with the response of the documentary,” he said. “I’m now a noun, a verb, and adjective. When someone reached out last weekend and, ‘you’re trending’, and I’m like, ‘I don’t even know what trending means’.”

Using his newfound celebrity status to raise money to pay back the victims of Fyre Fest, King added: “If I can drive positive influences and a lot of positive energy towards social and environmental impact, then I think I can utilise this moment to do a lot of good.” Though, he admitted: “I just don’t want to be necessarily known as the blowjob king of the world.”

Once used as the face of fake Evian adverts, you have to applaud King for his colossal glow-up. Get that money, hun.
