Following several cryptic teasers posted to social media, stars Rachel Bilson (AKA Summer Roberts) and Melinda Clarke (Julie Cooper) will reportedly reunite for a rewatch podcast, titled Welcome to the OC, Bitches!. “Join the original OC bitches, friends, and co-stars, Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke, for a trip back to the early 2000s,” reads a description of the Omny show, which comes alongside a (very brief) audio teaser. “Zip up your Juicy Couture tracksuits and grab a seat by the pool while they deliver the ultimate O.C.-rewatch podcast.” Created by Josh Schwartz — who would go on to make Gossip Girl, as well as its upcoming reboot — The O.C. ran for four years, first airing on Fox in 2003. Bilson and Clarke are set to take fans back to a specific episode each week, sharing “behind-the-scenes scoops” and interviewing guests who were “part of the O.C. experience” (for now, the identity of those guests is being kept under wraps). On the tenth anniversary of the show’s finale, Dazed reflected on its success, and how it changed out expectations for teen TV, presenting audiences with non-traditional families, dark jokes and serious issues, and an unconventional approach to sex and relationships.
