Just before Christmas, it was confirmed that the Sex and the City reboot is officially happening, with the iconic show set to return for a limited series. Now, Sarah Jessica Parker has dropped a teaser for the hotly-anticipated revival.
Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw in the original series, will reprise her role along with her co-stars Cynthia Nixon, portraying the no-bullshit hero Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis as Charlotte York. Everyone’s fave character Samantha Jones will be notably missing, however, as Kim Cattrall won’t return for the reboot.
In a nod to Bradshaw’s notorious journalistic tone, Parker shared the teaser on Instagram with the caption: “I couldn’t help but wonder… where are they now?” The mini trailer splices together quintessential New York City scenes – where the show is set – and features the phrase: “And just like that… The story continues.”
Sex and the City isn’t the only show making a comeback. HBO Max is also working on a revival of Gossip Girl, which will star Rookie founder Tavi Gevinson among other newcomers. You can read more about Hollywood’s unbearable obsession with reboots here.
For now, there’s no more news about the Sex and the City return, but you can watch the teaser below.
