The producer announced the news on Instagram yesterday (May 11), with a screenshot from a Zoom call with the show’s cast, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Cody Fern, Dylan McDermott, Taissa Farmiga, Billie Lourd, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, Angela Bassett, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, and Finn Wittrock. In an accompanying caption, Murphy wrote: “American Horror Story cast Zoom call… where we reminisced about the good times… the spin-off we’re doing called American Horror Stories (one hour contained episodes)... when we will start filming the next season of the mothership… and other stuff I cannot print. It was so much fun and I’m glad we caught up. I miss everyone!” Just days ago, Murphy teased that he’s working on a revival of the cancelled series, Scream Queens, which starred Roberts and Lourd, and featured appearances from Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana Grande. Responding to a fan on Instagram, who inquired about a season three of the cult show, Murphy said: “Working on that!” Murphy’s latest series, Hollywood, premiered on Netflix on May 1. Co-created with writer Ian Brennan (who worked on Glee with Murphy), the seven-part series follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers as they try to make it in post-WW2 Hollywood – AKA the ‘Golden Age’ of film.
