Nicki Minaj will be a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race

‘Yung Money is in the house’

With season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race kicking off on February 28, it’s been announced that Nicki Minaj will be the latest celebrity appearing as a guest judge on the show.

The announcement was made on Twitter in a short promo clip, where Minaj – referred to as ‘Yung Money’ – can be seen pledging her “allegiance to the drag”. Reacting to the clip, Minaj wrote on Twitter: “A dream of mine for so long.”

The new series promises “twisted, outrageous challenges”, “truly legendary” celebrity guest judges, and a cast of queens that is “the most talented we’ve ever had”, according to RuPaul in a new interview for EW.

Last year, RuPaul picked up his fourth consecutive Emmy for best host for his work on the show, and Drag Race UK exceeded expectations, with a second season on its way soon. Season 11 of Drag Race graced us with the royalty of Maisie Williams and Michela Coel, but this year the Queen herself Ms Nicki Minaj is in the house and about to “pledge allegiance to the drag”, kicking off on February 28.

In the words of Minaj: “Glow up and make herstory!”
