In these new stills from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Michelle Gomez serves villainous looks as Madame Satan, while Aunt Zelda (Miranda Otto) makes me want to purchase a cigarette holder because holding your cigarette is for lame mortals. We’ve already seen clips from the upcoming show, including a kiss between Sabrina and the beau, Harvey Kinkle. The new images show Harvey looking mournfully into the distance with the caption: “In this version, he’s the son of a coal miner who doesn’t know anything about Sabrina’s witchy secret.” The new trailer was released last week with a macabre rendition of the happy birthday song soundtracking the one minute clip revealing the release date to be October 26. It’s a lot less comedic that the Melissa Joan Hart-fronted series with Salem the acerbic cat, the TV series stays true to the original comic books, and will be closer in vibe to Riverdale as it shares the same production team and narrative universe. Kiernan Shipka of Mad Men stars as Sabrina, a sweet 16-year-old faced with the difficult decision of whether to become a full witch, or stay mortal with her boyfriend Harvey (Ross Lynch). Here’s another look at what has changed in the most anticipated occult-themed show of the year.
