Stop what you’re doing, there’s new previews of Sabrina

The first proper look at Kiernan Shipka in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Later this year, Kiernan Shipka will make her debut as the iconic Sabrina Spellman and in the run up we’ve been treated to a series of teasers including a behind-the-scenes Sabrina Instagram, and a preview of the posters and cast tweeted by the showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Now, two photographs have been released online that give us clues into what the series will be like. One image shows the Mad Men star in-character looking very Red Riding Hood, and another where she's participating in some sort of occult initiation.

From what we know so far, the revival is thought to be a coming of age story that will chronicle the origin and adventures of the titular witch, that has the mix of horror and witchcraft. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Netflix adaptation will show Sabrina being conflicted with her dual identity of being both a witch and a mortal that also comes up against evil forces that threaten her, her family, and mortals.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the same mind who gave us Riverdale, will serve as executive producer for the show. This comes after the success of Twin Peaks-esque teen show Riverdale, with hopes that this will be the latest smash hit installment from the Archie comics universe.

The rest of the cast will include Ross Lynch, Miranda Otto, Michelle Gomez and Lucy Davis.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is set to air 10 episodes October 26 on Netflix
