Fans have been waiting for this combination for years, crafting theories and conspiracies and zoning in on Easter eggs across the show that interlink its many storylines. Only a few details of ‘Apocalypse’ have been revealed. Now, the show’s previous cast member Jessica Lange is once again returning to AHS. Lange is set to take on her role of Constance Langdon from the first season Murder House. It was announced by fellow cast member Sarah Paulson, according to Variety, at the TCA summer press tour. Lange had a lead role in AHS up until the fourth season, departing after ‘Freak Show’. She won two Emmy awards for her parts. The last time we saw Langdon, she was dealing with her adopted son Michael, who had just murdered his nanny. It looks like he’s the Anti-Christ, and could have an instrumental role in the new series. ‘Apocalypse’ will crossover with ‘Murder House’ and third season ‘Coven’. Also on board are recurring cast members Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates, as well as Assassination of Gianni Versace star Cody Fern. Ryan Murphy’s anthology series has also been renewed for a tenth season.
