In the short feature, premiered via Vulture, dogs (including the voice of Edward Norton as Rex) on the island fight over maggoty old scraps. The film, Anderson’s first stop-motion movie since Fantastic Mr. Fox and first feature since 2014’s Grand Budapest Hotel, has a starry lineup that includes Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Yoko Ono and more. A full-length trailer was released in 2017. It centres on Rex and his other dog mates, who live just off of Japan on Trash island after the mass quarantine of all dogs in Megasaki with the flu. A human boy lands on the island, looking for his lost dog Spots, and their adventure begins.
