Yes, quite literally. A big playground with swings, slides and a climbing frame was built on the catwalk, with models sauntering around in checked cotton dresses and large leather backpacks. The schoolboy reference echoed in the sleeveless leather bomber jacket worn with a preppy cardigan and a slim chiffon shirt. But that’s pretty much where the similarities ended. The clashing mix of plaid and floral prints as well as the built-in bra cups were a lesson in grown-up sexiness – something that both Kane and Donatella Versace seem to excel at.
