Giorgio Armani, however, took that concept to an entirely new level with the summer collection for his diffusion line. Kept in the shades of white, beige and dove grey, structured jackets were layered over pedal pushers and short A-line skirts. Meanwhile, fabric manipulation – a trend we’ve already seen at Gianfranco Ferre and Gucci - gained its momentum in brocade dresses and organza shorts with thermo-welded tiles.
