Naturally, it was always going to be clean, simple and minimal lines, but there was a distinct step towards loud colours, such as mint green, a delightful blue and a deep purple shade. The main feature was sea of chest length cropped tops and jackets, sometimes layered, but always dominating the look. The short jackets were only matched in attention seeking ambition by Zucchelli’s strong and bold stripy block prints on t-shirts. Luckily, there were enough shiny suits and khaki trousers for everyone to feel at home…Dazed Digital: What was the red thread going through the collection?Italo Zucchelli: Graphics! That’s why I used such bold prints and jacquards, strong colours, semi visible logos and cropped tops. DD: Yes, they were quite American Football inspired, weren’t they?Italo Zucchelli: More rugby actually, but it’s not very literal, more of a feeling…DD: Any favourite pieces?Italo Zucchelli: The cropped tops and the carrot pants.
