That said, at Hermès, by sending out ensembles inspired by The Avengers, Gaultier also cleverly was able to showcase the house's mainstay; leather, which was present throughout the collection beginning with the aforemtioned catsuit, as modelled by Lily Cole and running through to Edwardian-inspired suits and lapels and panels on coats. Then later on, the black softened up into shades of taupe, beige and brown to give a selection of finely cut pieces of outerwear, accessorised by boxy handbags, dapper umbrellas and bowler hats. A move into Victoriana saw mohair trimmed full length skirts, accompanying knitwear and capes that were accented by croc detailing on waistcoats and long dresses. A black leather trench fit for international spies of any era got the final word.Visit our Entire Paris Fashion Week coverage » Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREMeet Bhavitha Mandava, the history-making, hobbymaxxing Chanel modelInside Michaela Stark’s provocative, Leigh Bowery-inspired 2026 calendarThe Dazed 100 is back for 2025Blink and you’ll miss ‘em: Dario Vitale’s greatest Versace hitsTimothée and Kylie really need you to know that they’re still togetherMartine Rose: ‘Limits are good, but I like breaking the rules’Kısmet by MilkaKate Moss takes over London for Kısmet by MilkaFrom Lana to Gaga: August Barron curate their ultimate music video nightInside the world of August Barron, fashion’s disruptive design duoIn pictures: Shalom Harlow’s most iconic catwalk momentsSilver Arrows: Fusing fashion with film noirSo you want to get your hands on Leigh Bowery’s merkin?
