If you grew up watching YouTube, chances are you have spent a good amount of time watching other people's day-in-the-life videos. Whether it's someone getting ready for a shoot, a creative running between meetings, or someone with a suspiciously aesthetic morning routine, there's something endlessly watchable about getting a glimpse into someone else's world. The only problem is that once you start thinking about how they're actually filmed, some of the magic disappears. Every "candid" moment requires someone to stop, prop up a camera, hit record, and then walk back into the shot.

Ray-Ban Meta glasses offer a different perspective. Documenting a day as it happens, instead of from the outside looking in, the glasses give wearers a chance to capture moments as they are being lived. To see what that looks like in practice, we asked London-based Opia to wear them for a day and test them out.

For those out on the town in East London, or anyone tapped into Dazed socials, Opia has been on a steady rise over the past few years. The East London collective first emerged from the city's underground rave scene, and has since gone on to become recognised voices within youth culture, working with Tate Modern, earning a place on the Dazed 100, and becoming a go-to Gen Z access point during London Fashion Week.

In a video filmed entirely with the glasses, Bambi of Opia takes us through a fun, dramatic day filled with performance art, painting, walking dogs with the kind of dedication that would make Lisa Vanderpump proud, and heading off with friends to pull looks from a stylist.

Below watch OPIA’s day in the life with Ray-Ban Meta and take a sneak peek at Bambi's corresponding schedule for the day.

10 AM: WAKE UP

"Fell asleep on Tracey Emin’s My Bed (1998) again…  People think it’s performance art. Maybe if I stay still, they’ll leave? I whisper to my Ray-Ban Meta glasses for the time."

11:00 AM: START PAINTING

“I love to paint. I usually have to stop what I’m doing to change the song. This time, I said "hey meta...", and my glasses played Kim Petras… the perfect choice to paint a masterpiece.”

1PM: DOG WALK

"I adopt a new dog for every Housewives of Beverly Hills season I finish. With so many leashes, I can’t check my phone, so I use the glasses for directions. Makes it easier to stay present while walking, too. You never know when Marina Abramovic (or a casting director) is nearby."

3PM: STYLING PICKUP

"I run to my styling pick-up and say hi to my divas. Using the hands-free capture, I record our fitting easily, and it makes things more productive. I text them pictures of the looks to Princess Julia for advice on the way back home; all in a day’s work."
