The 2025 Emmy Awards took place yesterday evening (September 14) in downtown LA, bringing with it a whole lot of looks to unpack. As well as the many beautiful gowns (see Hunter Schafer in McQueen, Jenna Ortega in Givenchy and Chloë Sevigny in Saint Laurent), some guests used their moment in the spotlight to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Too Much actress Megan Stalter ditched the dress code in favour of jeans and a t-shirt, carrying a handbag that read ‘CEASE FIRE!’ Meanwhile, Javier Bardem wore a keffiyeh and stated that he would not “work with someone who justifies or supports the genocide”. While accepting her award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Hacks actress Hannah Einbinder ended her acceptance speech by saying “Go birds, fuck ICE and free Palestine”. She wore a red Artists4Ceasefire pin, as did Aimee Lou Wood, Natasha Rothwell, Ruth Negga and Chris Perfetti. As well as support for Palestine, there was a lot of strong tailoring too. We can always count on Colman Domingo to spice up a suit, but yesterday he was in good company with Gwendoline Christie, Pedro Pascal, Dewayne Perkins, Tramell Tillman, Sam Nivola and Owen Cooper, to name a few.
