Alexander Skarsgård’s outfits have been causing a stir, and this morning’s appearance on Lorraine (yes, you read that right) was no exception. While promoting his new action-comedy series Murderbot, the Swedish actor took a leaf out of Paul Mescal and Harry Styles book, donning a pair of very short shorts and flashing the audience with his thighs – at nine in the morning.

“I wanted to be sexy today and there’s nothing sexier than a middle-aged man in a British schoolboy uniform,” Skarsgård said in an interview with Ranvir Singh. Styled by Harry Lambert, who famously styles Harry Styles, and wearing SS Daley and G H Bass, the actor even stood up and curtseyed when he was asked to give a twirl.

It’s not the first time this week he’s made headlines either. On Monday, Dazed reported that Skarsgård was bringing bootlicking to Cannes when he stepped out in a pair of thigh-high leather Saint Laurent waders to promote his new film, Pillion. “It’s a kinky gay biker movie. I’m wearing a lot of black leather in the movie so I thought it’d be appropriate,” he said on Lorraine.

Elsewhere, the week began with a bang when Pierpaolo Piccioli was announced as Balenciaga’s new CD, replacing Demna who has taken the helm at Gucci. Josh O’Connor made an appearance in what is thought to be his last Loewe campaign, and we got to know equestrian-inspired, Rick Owens-approved designer Leo Prothmann. Here’s everything else you missed…
