The Blackpink member and Irish actor have just been revealed as Louis Vuitton’s new campaign faces, shot as life-like figures on hazy, watercolour landscapes for the French house. Described as “contemporary portraits within the atmospheric paintings of French conceptual artist Laurent Grasso” the celeb duo were shot by Steven Meisel and appear in front of new works from Grasso’s Studies into the Past series. This new batch of images is also Lisa and Ronan’s first Louis Vuitton campaign since they both signed on as house ambassadors last year. In the new shots, the two women wear clothes from Nicolas Ghesquière’s SS25 collection, where the designer clashed Renaissance silhouettes and flowing, feminine fabrics for a reconciliation of softness and power. Lisa can be seen in the red-striped, puff-sleeved, second look from the collection, and also a leather trench coat buttoned to the top, while Roan goes for a flowy navy ensemble, a commanding white cape and streams of silver jewellery. For the campaign, the house describes the two Ghesquière muses as “embodying the notions of soft power” that inspired the Paris Fashion Week show, one that closed with three gowns printed with Grasso’s landscapes. Elsewhere, both stars have been keeping quite busy. Lisa has spent most of 2024 launching her extremely successful post-Blackpink solo career, with “Rockstar”, “Moonlit Floor” and Rosalía collab “New Woman”, while Ronan has been garnering critical acclaim for her performances in both The Outrun and Blitz. Maybe after four Oscar nominations 2024 will finally be her year? Fingers crossed.
