Let them wear Heaven: Dilara drops a Marie Antoinette-inspired collab

Gigi Hadid stars in the latest Heaven campaign, which sees Marc Jacobs link up with London goth queen Dilara Findikoglu on corsets, slutty school skirts, and tiny bikinis

Another week, another Heaven collab, and this time Marc Jacobs is joining forces with Turkish-born London-based baddie Dilara Findikoglu. Dropping today, the designer debuts a gothic Lolita-tinged collection of pouffy skirts, slashed band tees, babydoll corset dresses, and a teeny, tiny triangle bikini.

“When I was creating this collection, I had my high school years in mind, where I was listening to Avril Lavigne, the Runaways, Bikini Kill, and Girlschool, and trying to find my identity wearing metallic blue Marc Jacobs platforms,” Findikoglu explains.

When approaching the collab, she wanted to emulate her Topshop-procured school skirt “that was so short, my teacher called my mum to throw it away, which she eventually did.” Also on the line-up are a couple of Findikoglu’s signature corsets – one in scarlet, and the other bearing a print by artist and legendary Dazed CMO Sophie McElligott.

Known for plastering her naughty little gargoyles across ceramics and canvases, for Findikoglu’s collection, McElligott depicts a surreal version of Marie Antoinette’s feast, which is then translated to the front of a coquettish lace-up bodice.

The whole thing is modelled by returning Heaven family member Gigi Hadid, and goes on sale… right now. Run, don't walk if you want to get your hands on any bits, and click through the gallery above for a closer look.
