Kim Kardashian, Paloma Elsesser, and more come out of the Balenciaga closet

The fashion giant just dropped its latest campaign, starring bunch of old faces as well as a new gen of Balenciaga talent including Devon Lee Carlson and Nicola Peltz

Kim Kardashian has once again joined forces with Balenciaga, both as its most recently signed ambassador – so expect to see her dripping in Demna’s designs even more that usual from here on out – and now, as its latest campaign face. As part of the house’s new Closet campaign, we go inside Kimmy’s dressing room where, in an image captured by Inez & Vinoodh and revealed exclusively by Dazed, she’s seen reclining among a shitload of Balenciaga’s iconic Le City bag.

This season marks the return of Le City, which was first dropped at the turn of the millennium in the year 2000. Back then, the coveted, capacious style was toted by endless celebs – nestled by the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the crook of the arm, the bag was usually accessorised with a mega pair of sunnies, a Juicy Couture tracksuit, and the biggest Starbucks (pre-boycott) coffee cup available on the market. Its popularity at this point chimes well with the themes surrounding the brand’s newest collection, which centres celeb culture and got its debut under the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles just last month

Also starring in the campaign is Paloma Elsesser, who became one of the first curve models to walk for Balenciaga at the brand’s SS24 show in Paris last September, as well as legendary Sex & The City costume designer Patricia Field, and influencer and it-girlie model Devon Lee Carlson. Rounding the whole thing off is South Korean actor Roh Yoon-seo and Nicola Peltz, who sat front row at the Balenciaga LA show alongside husband Brooklyn Beckham.
