At the end of what has undoubtedly been a whirlwind year for Jamie-maree Shipton – the multihyphenate photographer, stylist, and creative director – she has managed to squeeze in one last gift, with the sophomore edition of Pull Letter UK, the magazine she founded earlier this year.
“For my second issue of Pull Letter UK, it made sense to attribute it to the AW23 season not simply because our first focused on the SS23 season but because autumn/winter is the season of transition, packed with just as much – if not more than – occasion, as a spring/summer collection,” Shipton shares in her editor’s letter.
Focusing on all things festive, the new issue is a celebration of the holiday period from being the hostess with the mostest to the chaos of seasonal sales. In Angels & Bon Bons, Shipton and a creative cohort make a fashion story fit for the top of the Christmas tree, while Central Saint Martins design duo Freddy Coomes and Matt Empringham create one-off pieces worthy of any Christmas bash you’ve been invited to.
Elsewhere, artist Jacqui Frey shares a gingerbread recipe perfect for transforming Martine Rose, Palomo Spain, Rick Owens, Loewe, and Schiaparelli into edible delights. Wrapping up the issue, writer and editor Kristen Bateman unpacks the frills, bows, and ruffles we’ve been seeing on the runway all year long.
Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, stick this on your wishlist, and see if Santa stuffs your stocking come Christmas morning!
Issue two of Pull Letter UK is available now from select stockists.
