Back in 2019, the Swedish Fashion Councilannounced a shift away from Stockholm Fashion Week, in a bid to explore more sustainable options that reflect the challenges and changes that the industry faces. This vision included SFC [FASHION X] Stockholm, an event that made its debut in the Swedish capital in 2022. Now, the SFC has announced the next edition of the subversive platform, coming this November in partnership with Dazed.
“The fashion industry is facing a transformation,” says Swedish Fashion Council CEO Jennie Rosén. “Given Sweden’s focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability, combined with the high level of creativity, we are perfectly positioned to lead the new era of fashion.”
In case you’re not caught up with the council’s pioneering efforts, this involves breaking down the traditional, season-based approach to fashion, and providing designers with space to experiment with new ideas and business models. With main partners Swedish Trade Federation and OnceMore® from Södra, this year’s iteration of Fashion X will also coincide with the release of the SFC’s second fashion transformation report, covering everything from data on the Swedish fashion industry’s growth and transformation, to the results of its ongoing diversity and inclusion survey.
Of course, the annual event will also act as a showcase for emerging talent from the SFC’s own incubator programme, alongside shows, performances, panels and parties featuring some of the most exciting names in Stockholm’s fashion scene and beyond.

Where does Dazed come into it? Shining a spotlight on the next, cutting-edge era of fashion, art, and music, of course. More specifically, Dazed will be hosting a collaborative talk and party featuring an exciting lineup of artists and DJs, with a focus on next-gen talent. Needless to say, you won’t want to miss it.
SFC (Fashion X) Stockholm is scheduled to run from November 7 to November 11, 2023.
