Mere moments ago, Instagram account @phoebephilo dropped an pretty exciting post. Taking the form of a simple black square, with an all-lowercase message reading ‘phoebephilo.com is now open for registration’, at the time of writing, the post has racked up 14,000 likes in the space of 30 minutes. If you thought the IG was cryptic, then the site itself gives nothing away. Similarly black and white in its design, it invites Philo’s rabid fans to input their email address to be kept abreast of developments. And that is it! Philo announced in February that her first Céline follow-up would land in September 2023, however don’t hold her to that – she’s been teasing us with a launch date for a good two years now. But that we’re even at this point is exciting – surely a glimpse of the actual collection can’t be far away? Philo is credited with changing the face of fashion during her tenure at Céline, and her influence on the way we dress can still be tracked across the floors of fast fashion retailers the world over. What can we expect from her namesake label? That remains to be seen, but one thing we might suggest is that you start saving your cash yesterday.
