That’s right: the Italian brand has been around for an entire century. To celebrate, Alessandro and co. are pulling out all the stops, and TBH, who can blame them? In London, the celebration comes in the form of Gucci Circolo, a unique, custom space that’s so much more than just a boutique. In the heart of Shoreditch, Circolo is a multisensory zone where you can shop Gucci100 – a special one-off collection designed by Alessandro Michele for the brand’s birthday. And if that wasn’t enough to have you salivating, the landmark Hacker Project with Balenciaga will drop in November, so needless to say, we’d suggest saving those pennies – and maybe getting in the queue – now. Courtesy of Gucci In addition to the shopping space, Gucci Circolo also features a Gucci Café – a chic spot for working (or at least pretending to) and pretending you’re at a cute Italian coffee shop, with an endless calendar of events. There’s also the Listening Lounge – a music-focused area with vinyls curated by the likes of Billie Eilish, Arlo Parks, Phoebe Bridgers, Florence Welch, Sir Elton John, and more. Not to mention the opportunity to download a special playlist to celebrate the anniversary. If reading is more your thing, IDEA has curated a bespoke bookstore with rare treasures from the worlds of art, fashion, and photography, as well as Gucci’s own tomes. Circolo’s launch follows hot on the heels of Gucci Vault, which got its debut in Milan last month. A new online concept that will put hard-to-find pieces from the house’s vast archive on sale throughout the year, the platform will also showcase a revolving roster of bright young talents as part of Michele and the label’s commitment to supporting and celebrating a new gen of talent. First on the line-up are designers including Rave Review, Bianca Saunders, and Gui Rosa. So, what are you waiting for? Gucci Circolo is open from now until later this year, booking essential (naturally). Courtesy of GucciEscape the algorithm!
