Breaking: Mowalola is appointed design director for Yeezy Gap

Screaming tbh

It’s been about eight seconds since we published the news that Kanye West had finally fulfilled a long-held dream and signed the deeds for a Yeezy Gap line, but reader, there’s more.

Taking to Instagram with some pretty huge news of her own, rising designer Mowalola Ogunlesi revealed she is set to take on the role of design director for the project.

Posting the same YZY/Gap mash-up image as ‘Ye previously had, the former Dazed 100-er simply captioned the image “Design director of Yeezy Gap”.

The appointment should really come as no surprise, given recent events. Last Sunday, in celebration of Father’s Day, Kim Kardashian West posted a photograph of the Wests in full Mowalola leather and cow print looks.

With no further information available right now, watch this space in the coming weeks for more, and revisit Mowalola SS20 below.
