However, as a quick scroll through Instagram will prove, you’d be wrong. Instead, a whole bunch of them have been diving into their walk-in wardrobes, turning the dial right up to 11, and swanning around their multi-million dollar mansions in a succession of fresh-from-the-runway ensembles. ‘So who’s wearing what?!’ we hear you cry. Where better to start than in Calabasas, Los Angeles, where Kylie Jenner has been playing tennis (or potentially posing to make it look as if she’s been playing tennis) in a matching Chanel two-piece, and getting up close and personal to a tree in a set by Charlotte Knowles, because why tf not? Also demonstrating a penchant for a bit of Knowles is the inimitable, iconic Arca, who’s taken to hosting Instagram live and Twitch sessions in the rising British designer’s AW20 collection: most recently, the musician opted for a brown corset. Isolation comfies? Arca does not know her. Elsewhere, Marc Jacobs likely sent germaphobes towards a meltdown when he posted a photo of himself lying on his bed, disco-ready silver stacked sandals still strapped to his feet and a copy of André Leon Talley’s new memoir in hand, while Chloë Sevigny posted a cute TBT pic good friend and Dazed fave Brianna Capozzi captured just weeks before The Coolest Baby In The World™ was birthed from her loins. For us, though, it was Robert Pattinson’s unhinged interview and accompanying shoot for GQ that we’d single out as one of the style highlights of the last few weeks. Proving himself to be pretty imaginative when it comes to self-portraiture (though less can be said for his berserk cooking ‘skills’), the actor captured himself in a succession of Craig Green and Gucci looks accessorised with socks tied round his arms and a silk scarves slung around his head – if that’s not a mood we don’t know what is.
