Bella Hadid fronts Jacquemus’ cute new campaign via FaceTime

Despite much of the world being in lockdown, people are still finding new ways to retain some sense of normality. Whether this is through performing remote concerts via Instagram Live or hosting talk shows from one’s living room, fashion, too, is continuing to find new ways to adapt in these unique times. Just take Jacquemus, if you're looking for an example. 

The joyous French designer has gotten around the tricky situation that is his SS20 campaign, by enlisting Bella Hadid to star in a series of images shot via FaceTime. Captured by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, and directed by Simon himself, the photos see Hadid in a simple white room in her home in California, sporting pieces from the designer’s SS20 collection, which was presented in a lavender field last June (wish we were there, tbh).

With no hair and make-up artists, and only a phone camera available, the back-to-basics shoot lenses the model in a white suit, paired with a green bikini top, a ribbed blue bodysuit and green trousers, along with a (very) cropped yellow and orange top. Of course, it's not the first FaceTime photo shoot Hadid has starred in, after she also appeared in an editorial for the latest issue of Vogue Italia earlier this month.

Elsewhere, Hadid, who walked in Jacquemus’ AW20 showing earlier this year, is seen nude, strategically covered only by the label’s signature Le Grand Chiquito bag. Another photo also sees the model don bags in lieu of clothing, this time coming in the form of Jacquemus’ Le Panier Soleil bag and a string bag to cover her chest.

Sharing the pictures on her Instagram, Hadid wrote, “Best few hours... Reconnecting....”, while Jacquemus posted, “SO HAPPY TO SHARE WITH YOU”.
