Fashion provocateurs Dean and Dan Caten founded Dsquared2 back in 1995, and though it’s truly hard to believe a whole quarter century has passed since the duo landed on the scene, in 2020, the label celebrated its 25th birthday. Having appeared across countless Dazed pages in the last 25 years, to mark the occasion, we enlisted photographer Matt Tammaro and stylist Yohana Lebasi to shoot a special editorial as part of our spring 2020 The Death of the 2010s issue (which FYI is on newsstands everywhere now).
With the spring issue of Dazed ringing in a new era for the magazine, this time around inspiration came from the end of the decade and the beginning of the next. This story, featuring the brand's signature mix of bold corsets and botanical prints, felt like a natural fit for an issue with twin themes of futurism and nostalgia – an anniversary, like the end of a decade is a time to reset on what we're leaving behind and taking into the future.
