Covered by the ultimate pop star for our era, Selena Gomez, the issue explored the push and pull of nostalgia and futurism, from the new New York underground to influencer culture, questioning what it is we’re carrying on from the 2010s, and that we’re leaving behind. This fashion story, shot by photographer Francesco Nazardo – known for his sun-drenched, energetic images – and styled by Dazed’s new deputy fashion editor Chloe Grace Press, evokes a summer-infused, nostalgic mood. Founded in Belgium in 2009 by Raf Maes and Anton Janssens, Komono eyewear fits the mood perfectly - with a sleek, minimalistic design and nostalgic feel, their sunglasses evoke memories of perfect summer holidays and teenage romance.
