Telfar will show its next collection at Pitti Uomo

The New York label will make its debut as part of the event’s Special Project series in January

After making his debut in Paris for SS20, New York-based designer Telfar Clemens is set to present his next collection as a guest designer at Pitti Uomo in Florence. A biannual gathering hosted in the Italian city, the event is a space for brands to display their pieces to retailers, editors, and menswear enthusiasts.

“We are honoured to be invited to show, where the deep sense of history and continuity sets the scene perfectly for something entirely new,” Clemens explains in a statement.

As an increasingly prominent force in the fashion industry, the designer has attracted fans worldwide for his simple and idiosyncratic designs which effortlessly combine streetwear and luxury, with his iconic tote bags and newly released jewellery line further propelling him towards becoming a household name.

“Telfar Clemens is one of the most interesting figures on the contemporary scene. For fifteen years, he has been promoting with tenacity an idea of inclusive and accessible fashion and business. We are happy to offer him the opportunity to present himself to the Pitti Uomo community, and I am sure that the event in Florence will provide further meaning to a message that is already strong and vibrant,” Lapo Cianchi, Director of Communication & Special Events at Pitti Immagine explained.

The event will take place in Florence from January 7-10, 2020. Revisit the Telfar’s SS20 gallery below.
