Who stole Jared Leto’s head?

If found please return to your nearest Gucci store

Last spotted on the steps of this year’s Met Ball, a replica of Jared Leto’s head has gone missing.

Inspired by Gucci’s AW18 show in which models carried their own heads, Leto finished his head-to-toe Gucci get-up with the unlikely accessory. But, despite the fact the piece cost an eye-watering $11,000 to make, Leto now reveals in an interview with GQ that he has quite literally lost his head. “I think someone may have stolen it. If anyone out there finds it, bring it into your nearest Gucci store in exchange for a pair of dirty sneakers.”

While there is a video showing Shawn Mendes being handed the head by Leto on the pink carpet, it was also seen in the hands of Kendall Jenner and Lupita Nyong'o. But who knows, it could have as easily ended up in the bags of any of the other star-studded guests. Cardi B, Charli XCX, or Billy Porter perhaps? The list goes on, and oh what fun it is to speculate which celebrity mantelpiece the head is now decorating on a Thursday afternoon. A pencil holder in Anna Wintour’s office maybe?

Will it turn up? Who knows. Better get Coleen Rooney on the case.
