@dazedfashionFashionNewsGigi Hadid just confronted a prankster who ran onto Chanel’s runwayThe unidentified women leapt up from the audience and onto the runway, before being surrounded and led off by a group of modelsShareLink copied ✔️October 1, 2019FashionNewsTextEmma Elizabeth DavidsonChanel SS20 This is not a drill: a woman, dressed head-to-toe in what resembled a full Chanel look, just stormed the legendary house’s SS20 show, happening in Paris this morning. The unidentified stranger sat quietly for the duration of the presentation, until the very end, when models including Gigi Hadid and Anna Ewers started taking their final lap of the Parisian rooftops that formed this season’s set. As the girls streamed by her, the woman jumped up between them and joined the procession, to the bemusement of the audience and security guards alike (given her tweed suit, some thought she was a model who had somehow gotten lost on the runway). Then, she joined the models as they leaned and posed on the faux chimneys, railings, and AC units… that is, until Gigi realised something was amiss, when she and a group of models surrounded her and led her off the runway. We think it’s pretty safe to say that it’s unlikely she’ll be receiving an invitation to Chanel’s AW20 show, but at least she got her fifteen minutes (see: 48 seconds) of runway fame. UPDATE October 1 2019: The catwalk intruder has been identified as YouTube comedian and prankster Marie S’Infiltre, who staged a similar stunt at another PFW show last week.
