Our autumn/winter 2019 issue, titled Fashion Made Me Hardcore is out now. It pays tribute to the creatives who go harder than anyone else, with the likes of Chloë Sevigny, K-pop radical Holland and actor Earl Cave gracing its covers. But of course, besides spotlighting established tastemakers, Dazed is also a champion of up-and-coming creatives, too, and London-based William Scarborough is just one example of young photographic talent to feature in the latest print magazine.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2017, Scarborough is making a name for himself with candid and often dramatically lit fashion portraiture. We commissioned him to produce a shoot in collaboration with Another Man’s Fashion Editor Reuben Esser, bringing Moose Knuckles’ AW19 collection to life on a group of unknown, streetcast faces.
Alice Macrae, Sophie Vi, Callum Hansen, Li Hei, Jesse Calston, Luke Chin-Joseph, Ryan Gabison, were all photographed against the backdrop of London’s North Circular Road, a location which gave the shoot its title. The models were dressed in the outerwear brand’s signature puffer jackets, parkas, and vests, with Scarborough and Esser bringing a distinctly British feel to a collection that is made for navigating the Canadian arctic climate. You can see more of the collection here; and if you haven’t already picked up an issue of the magazine, then check out the shoot in the gallery above.
