Iris Van Herpen enlists Mykki Blanco & Amnesia Scanner for Dutch festival

The radical designer is set to curate a stage at November’s Le Guess Who? festival, with Coucou Chloe, Holly Herndon, and Lafawndah also on the line-up

Though the British festival season is slowly drawing to a close, in the Netherlands the end is still quite a way off. Taking place in the city of Utrecht in November, Le Guess Who? just dropped the first names appearing at its 2019 event.

This time around, the festival has invited six different quest curators to come up with their own line-ups, with radical fashion designer Iris Van Herpen and partner and sound artist Salvador Breed among them.

On the agenda when it comes to Van Herpen and Breed’s corner of the festival are the likes of rapper, activist, performance artist, and poet (and former Dazed guest editor) Mykki Blanco, musician and NUXXE founding member Coucou Chloe, Berlin-based experimental duo Amnesia Scanner, and producer Holly Herndon. Alongside the curated performances, the Dutch creatives have also planned an exhibition featuring hand embroidery by artist and longtime Björk collaborator James T Merry and a series of new, soon-to-be-revealed installations.

The festival will be 7-10 November and tickets are now available on www.leguesswho.com
