For Loewe’s SS20 menswear campaign, British actor Charlie Heaton has been photographed by Steven Meisel during “a moment of introspection before going on stage”.

Released yesterday, campaign is made up of a trilogy of images, including one of Heaton staring at his reflection in the mirror, in a white tank top with smeared lipstick across his face – a moment meant to represent the character he is about to embody.

Other images include a still life photograph of the brand new SS20 Grand Puzzle Bag, which features rugby stripes as a tribute to Jonathan Anderson’s family background in the sport.

The final image is taken from a SS20 Meisel-lensed series entitled ‘A Show of Hands’, the rest of which will debut later this year. It depicts a hand holding onto a clump of earth to symbolises the need for protest in the world’s current social climate.
