JW Anderson is moving to Paris next season

Designer Jonathan Anderson will also present Loewe’s debut menswear show during the city’s AW19 shows

With the end of the year fast-approaching, fashion’s eyes are already firmly set on the upcoming AW19 menswear shows that will take place in January. Ahead of that, Jonathan Anderson has announced that he’ll be taking his eponymous label to Paris for the next show.

The news marks a change in strategy for the designer, who previously announced that he would be presenting his collections co-ed on the womenswear schedule.

Moving to Paris is a first for the designer, who typically shows in London, and will see him joining the likes of other menswear newcomers: Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, Hedi Slimane for Celine, and Kris Van Assche for Berluti. According to WWD, Raf Simons, Vetements, and Jacquemus are also set to present in Paris on the AW19 schedule.

While Anderson’s menswear collections for Loewe are usually presented via lookbook or presentation during PFW, the designer has also announced that the AW19 collection will see him make his show debut for the Spanish house – stay tuned!
