Carrera channels 80s yearbooks for its new lookbook

The brand enlisted photographer Casper Sejersen to shoot its newest designs

Ever since its inception in 1956, Italian eyewear label Carrera has always designed for the mavericks and free spirits. It’s no surprise then, that for its latest colourful offering the brand makes a case for – literally – eye-catching shades.

To accompany its latest specs, the brand has commissioned a series of images lensed by Danish photographer Casper Sejersen. Challenging the back-to-school annual photo-book concept, the series of portrait shots features a cast of 80s-inspired, outsider-looking grown ups, donning of course Carrera’s two new models in various colourways.

The Carrera 177/s model – the brand’s take on the small frames trend – has a rectangular structure with coloured lenses that come in bright red, yellow and black, while the Carrera 180/f/s shows a subtle hexagonal shape with lenses in similar hues.
