For our politically-charged summer edition, we bring together the characters pointing the way for new forms of protest, and proving that there’s no single approach to sparking change today. In the first three of five covers, unceasing activist and punk pioneer Vivienne Westwood is captured powerfully by Harley Weir. A new era inspired by Vivienne’s enduring spirit comes together for our second cover shoot by Hanna Moon, and Ryan McGinley lenses some of the young protesters powering the anti-gun movement in the US.
