Last year alone saw her appear as a cover star for Dazed’s autumn 2017 issue, front campaigns for Burberry, Miu Miu, and Marc Jacobs Beauty, and take home Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards – all while running the online platform Gurls Talk on the side. Aboah’s latest fashion appearance is in Chanel’s new eyewear campaign, where she poses in a white turban, tweed and pearls. It’s a recreation of an iconic Chanel look worn by Coco Chanel in a vintage picture, balanced on the shoulders of her friend and dancer, Serge Lifar. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, Aboah poses in oversized sunglasses decorated with pearls and big butterfly glasses. She also appears in a short video, flashing a tiny Chanel logo on her front tooth (blink and you’d miss it). Having already been spotted at the Parisian house’s SS18 show walking beneath a river canyon, Adwoa Aboah now has her first Chanel campaign under her belt. There’s no doubt you’ll be seeing more of her over the ongoing AW18 womenswear shows. Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
