FashionNewsJuliette Lewis is the face of Acne Studios’ SS18 campaignModelling a collection inspired by the “strong women of 90s cinema”ShareLink copied ✔️February 1, 2018FashionNewsTextShakeena Johnson Acne Studios has just released the first images of its new SS18 campaign, featuring none other than actress and singer Juliette Lewis. Creative director Jonny Johansson had the "strong women of 90s cinema" in mind when he was creating the collection – including some of those played by Lewis – which of course made her the ideal choice. Shot by Talia Chetrit, the actress – wearing pieces from the collection that include True Romance-esque snake-print denim jeans and a lizard-print slip dress – pullis dynamic poses while sprawling across the floor. The shoot became a cinematic experience, as “Juliette came on set, saw the clothes and just started to create this character,” said Johansson. “It was exactly what I wanted. Talia followed her mood and movements and the images turned out great,” he finished. Given her performances in From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, Natural Born Killers and The Basketball Diaries, we think it’s fair to say Johansson chose his leading lady well; the legendary actress embodies what it means to be a strong and independent woman as much now as she did back in the 90s.
