To end the show – that paid homage to the house’s founder Gianni Versace – the curtains parted way to reveal Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen in gold dresses. The gang then took to the runway with Donatella Versace to the sound of George Michael’s “Freedom! ‘90”. Now, a new group of supers have been enlisted to showcase the collection via the SS18 campaign. Shot by Steven Meisel the campaign sees Campbell joined by Gisele Bündchen, Christy Turlington and Kaia Gerber to make up what the Italian house is calling the ‘#VFamily’. Continuing the celebration of Gianni, the images feature looks from the Versace archive like the Animalier and Barocco prints and the Vogue print look. While 2017 marked 20 years since Gianni’s death, he will continue to be remembered next year too with the imminent release of the second season of American Crime Story – that will focus on the events around his murder.
