Created by the brand’s head of digital, Céline Rey, the film was originally premiered during its SS17 presentation at Paris Fashion Week in September. According to Jitrois, Another World marks a new era for the house and shows “the past DNA of Jitrois and the current one”. Throughout its 33-year history, the house has taken a stand against fast fashion, and strived to put sustainability at the heart of its designs. “My desire was to turn leather into something beautiful, sophisticated and appealing – to be the opposite of the Village People,” said the label’s founder Jean Claude Jitrois in a recent interview with AnOther. Jitrois has worked with an assortment of creative minds throughout his career including Helmut Newton, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Karl Lagerfeld, Bettina Rheims, and Dazed co-founder Rankin.
