Cult leather label Jitrois has released a short film called Another World, which brings together found clips and behind the scenes footage in a Tumblr-style cinematic moodboard. Created by the brand’s head of digital, Céline Rey, the film was originally premiered during its SS17 presentation at Paris Fashion Week in September.

According to Jitrois, Another World marks a new era for the house and shows “the past DNA of Jitrois and the current one”. Throughout its 33-year history, the house has taken a stand against fast fashion, and strived to put sustainability at the heart of its designs.

“My desire was to turn leather into something beautiful, sophisticated and appealing – to be the opposite of the Village People,” said the label’s founder Jean Claude Jitrois in a recent interview with AnOther.

Jitrois has worked with an assortment of creative minds throughout his career including Helmut Newton, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Karl Lagerfeld, Bettina Rheims, and Dazed co-founder Rankin.
