Today the brand has revealed its latest collaborator – none other than Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. One of the most notorious image-makers working today, Araki is infamous for his erotically-charged photography which often features bondage or kinbaku-bi, ‘the beauty of tight binding’ – something that the collaboration’s campaign imagery makes reference to. The collection itself comprises of a hoodie, a long sleeve and short sleeve tee (in a range of colours), as well as zine featuring original photography. It’s actually the second time Araki has teamed up with a fashion brand this year. In January, he collaborated with designer Masanori Morikawa on Christian Dada’s AW16 menswear collection which, inspired by his “Love On The Left Eye” series, saw his photographs incorporated into the clothing via digital jacquard, printing and embroidery. The photographer has also contributed to Dazed, shooting model and actress Rila Fukushima for the winter 2015 issue. News of his collaboration with Supreme comes at a time when London is playing host to an exhibition of his work. On show at the Hamilton Gallery until November 22nd, Araki features some of his more recent photographs depicting women and flowers. Head here for our dA-Zed guide to Nobuyoshi Araki.
