Fashion / NewsAre the Stranger Things kids modelling for Louis Vuitton?Nicolas Ghesquière posts a mysterious picture of himself with Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo and Millie Bobby BrownShareLink copied ✔️September 26, 2016FashionNewsTextTed Stansfield When it comes to casting models for his advertising campaigns, Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière isn’t afraid to break the mould. In the past year, he’s selected a video game character (Final Fantasy XIII’s Lightning) and Jaden Smith (to model a moto jacket and metal embroidered skirt from the SS16 womenwear collection). Now it looks like he’s working with the kids from hit sci-fi series Stranger Things. “Such a fun day and exciting project coming up,” wrote Ghesquière, captioning a picture of himself with three of the series stars: Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo and Millie Bobby Brown. As for what this “exciting project” entails, nothing has been revealed – McLaughlin simply thanked the designer for inviting him and his co-stars to visit Louis Vuitton – an experience he described as “amazing”. Since launching on Netflix a couple of months ago, Stranger Things amassed a huge cult following thanks to its killer cast (Winona Ryder stars) and its clever references to classic movies from the 1980s. For its young stars, it’s clear that their journey to stardom has only just begun – as for their project with Nicolas Ghesquière, let’s see what they come up with. Escape the algorithm!
