The following month, the Spanish designer tapped young photography protege Coco Capitán to shoot a campaign that focused on female friendship – now, the follow-up is here, starring model twins Odette and Lia Pavlova. “This is the second campaign that Coco Capitán has shot for Mulberry,” Coca shared exclusively of the Winter images, entitled Self/Reflection and revealed for the first time above. “She has a unique way of seeing the world and skillfully expresses that in her photography – her images feel like very specific moments that just happen to have been captured. Coco is fresh and always brings her unique vision to the project.” The collection, which took its cue from the streets of London, was styled by the legendary Katy England. As is clear in the accompanying film, where the sisters are reflected in a giant mirror, the theme of the images is duality – a key concept for Coca. “Duality and contrast play important roles in the Winter collection and in my overall approach to design,” he explains. “I am continually inspired by how women can be both tough and delicate, rough and fragile, shy and extravagant at the same time.” Check out the gallery for a behind-the-scenes look above, and watch the clip below.
