With the launch of #StormPhoto, Storm Models and Dazed are searching for the nation’s next big name in fashion photography. We’re giving a young, talented photographer, aged 16-25, the opportunity to build their portfolio with one of the world’s most renowned modeling agencies, as well as have their photos featured on Dazed Digital. The winner will be given the opportunity to shoot one of Storm’s biggest names, Lottie Moss, a one-to-one portfolio review with Dazed & Confused magazine’s photographic director Lauren Ford and a DSLR camera. In addition to Moss and Ford, the #StormPhoto judging panel includes a diverse range of industry insiders, including Storm’s founder Sarah Doukas, portrait and fashion photographer Rankin and Dazed Digital’s fashion features editor, Emma Hope Allwood. “Developing new modelling talent has always been key to the success of Storm,” says Doukas, “but we have always been aware that the success of our talent is also dependent on the strength of the whole industry – and in particular the creative photographic side. Emerging models and fashion photographers have always developed their portfolios in tandem so it feels natural for us to partner with our friends at Dazed, and help provide an opportunity for the next generation of photographers.” See below for details on how to enter. Good luck! The Brief: When Dazed was founded 25 years ago, its outsider take on fashion acted as an antidote to the gloss of the industry. We’re looking for the emerging image-makers defining that rebellious spirit now, ditching OTT airbrushing for a more authentic take on style and subculture. We want you to submit photos which proudly capture your vision of youth today – and prove that there’s a lot more to this generation than the apathetic, selfie-obsessed stereotypes. How to Enter: 1. In response to the competition brief, share between three-six photos via Instagram using the hashtag #STORMPHOTO (entrants must demonstrate their ability to tell a story through their photos so entries with less than three photos won’t be considered). 2. Fill in your contact details at stormphoto.co.uk/competition to register your entry. Our judging panel will then shortlist up to 15 entries to go through to the public vote. Entries must be received by Fri June 24th. Good luck!
